A fond farewell!

I have enjoyed working with all of you this semester. It is my goal in each class to make learning about health, fitness, and sport enjoyable. I hope I was able to do that this past semester. I am always looking for ways to improve the experience for the next group of students. For your final exam, and it will count as a blog grade, I want you to answer the following questions. Answer them truthfully as I am only grading on completion and you will not be penalized for telling the truth. I want to know how you truly feel. I would appreciate it if you took the time to provide thoughtful responses, rather than rushing through just to complete the assignment.

4. If you could change anything about physical education, what would it be?

  1. 1. What did you like the most about physical education class?
    I liked having a set schedule for the past few months. Bench/squat mondays, etc.

    2. What did you like the least?
    How we only had a metcon basically once a month. They do help a lot to see growth and all.


    3. How did you feel about the blog assignments?
    They were simple, not a big deal to do them.


    4. If you could change anything about physical education, what would it be?
    Smaller class sizes, but that's not entirely controllable.

    1. I liked that I was able to actually get stronger, and learn more about my body. I think I have a better understanding of nutrition and sleep then I would have in a regular P.E. class.

    2. I personally did not like the Met-cons and such, I feel like I just got really sweaty and sore, and did not see results.

    3. I thought the Blogs were an easy, and fun way to learn about health and everything. I liked it better than say getting a worksheet in class or something.

    4. I would not change much, besides having more time after to cool down.

  5. 1) I learned skills about lifting and muscle recovery in general that I plan to utilize when I leave this class and high school. Lifting and working out and playing sports are things I will hope to always do.

    2) The thing I liked least was the timing. Sometimes the class was too short to do what we were trying to accomplish that day and we missed out.

    3) Blog assignments are okay. They make you at least look up an answer and make you more aware, especially when you re-iterate the blogs in class. They help a little bit.

    4) The clock in the corner of the wrestling room...

  6. i liked this class because i knew new things.Also the blog assignments were really useful for my daily life (food,exercise and etc.).So, i can't find something bad and i wouldn't like to change something.

  8. 1. My favorite thing about the class is the opportunity to workout during school.
    2. At the same time, I don't like having to go to school while sweaty.
    3. They are a good way to assign homework but are hard to remeber.
    4. I would make it easier for students to take physical education, but i would not associaate a grade with it.

    3. i didnt like them becuase they are hard to remember and they can screw up your grade

  10. 1. I enjoy that I get to socialize with my friends and at the same time become a stronger, more disciplined individual.

    2. I don't like metcons

    3. I think that the blog is fair because there is really no other way to give grades other than doing a lift.

    4. I would change it so we could do our max's at the end of the semester in order to find out how much we have grown in terms of strength.

  14. 1. I liked the fact that everyone stayed competitive even if they did not like the sport.
    2.Sometimes transition takes to long.
    3. It is good to actually have some homework during gym.
    4. A more educational aspect to PE.

    2.Metcons and tabatas.

    3.They were a pain, but they taught me some new things most of the time. Only a couple were pointless, they shud be less frequent.

    4.Have more active rest days and try not to push it too far. Also have less blogs.

    I like how taking weightlifting gives me an opportunity to lift and keep myself in shape during school.

    2. What did you like the least?
    I had weightlifting 2nd period, so I was sweaty and smelly for the rest of the day, and that sucked.

    3. How did you feel about the blog assignments?
    They are a good way to review what we learned in class and apply the knowledge to life, but I can never remember to do it.

    4. If you could change anything about physical education, what would it be?
    Maybe put the blogs on a physical sheet of paper for people to fill out, so it would be easier to remember.

    2.I did't like that many times people weren't trying when we were playing sports.

  18. 1. I really like being able to get a workout in, in the morning instead of after practice.

    2. I liked metcons the least.

    3. I liked the blogs. They allowed us to learn about what we were doing, which is a large part of being an athlete.

    4. I would make the workouts more flexible so if people have certain games/meets they can adjust their workout schedule to fit their needs.

    4. If I could change anything about P.E. I would make it a class just for completion, not for a grade.

    -I liked the fact that we were free to be active. Also liked the fact that we had an opportunity to work out during school, because I have no time outside of school.

    2. What did you like the least?
    -Metcons and front squats.

    -Pain in the ass. I rarely have access to a computer so I completely forget about them all the time.

    4. If you could change anything about physical education, what would it be?
    -More active rest definitely. lol Also more competitive activities. It seems like people try harder when they're up against someone else.

    2. I didn't like overhead squats, they hurt my wrists alot
    3. I didn't like the blogs because I forget to post something often times, but I understand the purpose of them and they dont require much effort.
    4. People should get more flexibility in choosing their workouts. I like to do bicep curls but in class we rarely get to do them.

  24. 1. I liked being able to continue working out with my friends during school and it was great that during the school day I could get in the weight room and exhaust myself which always made me feel great.
    2. I don't like active rest, probably the only one in the class who doesn't but I love to lift weights and that is my active rest to me.
    3. The blogs were helpful but I had a tendency to forget about them with the other things going on.
    4. If I could change anything about physical education I would make it mandatory because too many people nowadays are being lazy and don't understand the joys of working out.

  25. 1. I liked the team names and cheers and how every new sport we did ended in a championship.

    2. Nothing was bad.

    3. The blog assignments were interesting and informative, plus it was really fun reading everybody else's answers.

    4. P.E. was definitely one of my favorite classes, I wouldn't really change anything.

  27. I liked the class because i got to learn new things and be with friends, and listening to music.
    I didnt like the suicides, or cardio strengthening
    i felt that they were necessary, but didnt like them
    spend more time playing sports, maybe also pcking our own teams.

    3. Blogs were simple and easy. Very good choice!
    4. Maybe decrease the weight of the blogs and increase the weight of actually working out in class. And if you were more consistent with active rest days, that would have been nice. Oh yea, and less basketball because everyone stands around and more soccer or long ball.
