Air Squats

Take a look at the video below.  For this weeks comment let me know what you think of her squat.  Is it perfect?  Is there anything you would clean up?  Don't forget to leave your name with your comment and feel free to comment on others comment.

  7. I think that her form is pretty good except for the fact that her back isn't straight all of the time. She stresses at the end of the video to remember "keep your shoulders back" but I don't see much of it. She also needs to watch how far her knees go out.

  8. I think her form is pretty good, there needs to be a couple changes. her back needs to be straight at some points. Too much tension can lead to back injuries. Also, she needs to watch out for the knees, they go out too much.

  10. The lady in the video is kind of doing the squat wrong. Her form is out of place and there are no three points of contact. Her knees go beyond her toes and this is why i believe this squat is irregular/out of place.

  15. It looks like her knees are just a bit too far in front of her. It offsets the three points of contact. I would suggest spreading her legs out so they are barely past shoulder width. Alex Walsh

  18. When she goes down into her squat, her knees come way to far in front of her feet. Also, her head needs to stay down a little bit. Then, she will be able to maintain the three points of contact. it wouldnt hurt her to also slow down a bit.

  19. When she squats, the girl seems to be bending down a lot, meaning her core is collapsing and she is failing the three points of contact. Also, her knees extend beyond her toes.

  20. 1. Doesn't quite maintain the 3 points of contact all the way through.
    2. Knees come out too far.
    3. When she begins the squat, she starts with a bend in the knee, but continues with her knees instead of pushing your butt out and lowering your hips with your core.
    4. She is squatting quickly, bouncing off of her heels, instead of supporting her weight in the lowered position. This puts pressure on her ankles instead of working her core, so slowing down and not "going as low as you can" might be better.
    5. Wipe the cheeky grin off her face and she's good.

  23. Her knees are a bit too far in front of her feet. Also, she bends her knees first instead of shifting her hips back first. She should slow down and focus on her posture, maintaining her three points of contact on the butt, shoulders, and head.

  25. Her knees are too far in front of her toes, and she's squatting to far down. It says that you should squat down as far as you can, but that's not the good way to do it. You're supposed to squat down a little lower than 90 degrees. Jill Grime Period 8

  28. Other than the fact that she misses her three points of contact and that she seems to be leaning forward towards the end of the video, so no I dont think she is perfect, but it is a decent or good squat.

  35. She needs to stick her but out more/ straighten her back so her knees do not go over her feet. Also, she needed to stick her chest out more and pull her shoulders back a little.

  55. she needs to slow down when she squats because the squats are not having the same impact on the legs if she does them fast. her knees go too far out in front to the point where her knees pass her shoes and thats bad form. also she is not squeezing her buttox.
