Period 7 Weight Training - Form

We have spent the past week hammering you on form for the various lifts we will be doing in class. Why do we spend so much time on form? Why is proper form important when exercising? What is more important to progress in the weight room, proper form or enough intensity? You must answer all three questions to get your points for this blog. This will be recorded as a homework assignment.

  1. We have spent so much time on form so there are no injuries while we lift. It is proper to have good form when exercising so utilize the right muscles in our body. It is more important to have better form than intensity because with out the form you have a better chance of hurting yourself and not getting as strong.

  2. We spend so much time on form because without form, the risk of injury grows exponentially. Proper form is important to prevent this injury. Proper form and intensity are equally important in the weight room. Your form should be at about 80-90% and your intensity should be 100%.

  3. We spend so much time on form to prevent injury and work a specific group of muscles in our body. It is more important to have better form than intensity because without form you have a greater chance of getting injured and will recieve less benefits from the exercise.

  4. We spend so much time on form because without proper form not only can you get injured but also you do not get the maximum benefits if any from the lift making it useless. In my opinion form is more important than intensity while intensity is very important form is the backbone of lifting because slow work also has its benefits while bad form work has zero.

  5. We have been working on form because without correct form you can get injured. It is better to have more form than intesity because if you get injured you cannot workout until you get better and your strength will decrease in that time.

  6. We have spent so much time on form, because form is important not only to get the most out of an exercise, but also to prevent injury. Proper form is important for both of these reasons. Proper form and intensity are equally important, but to progress in one requires a sacrifice of the other. It is necessary to find a balance between these two. You must work out as intensely as you can while not sacrificing form to the point where you risk injury.

  7. We spend so much time on form because proper form decreases the risk of injury. Proper form is important when exercising because it allows you to work on the correct muscles for a particular exercise. It is more important to have proper form because without proper form, you can't reach your full potential when exercising. Intensity is important after you have proper form.

  9. We spend so much time on form because it prevents injuries. Proper form is importnant when exercising because it allows the exercise to be done safely and work particular muscles the correct way. Proper form is the most importnant because it makes the exercise safe and after form is perfected thats where intensity comes in and you will progress in the weight room.

  10. We spend so much time on form because without form, the risk of injury grows a great amount. Proper form is important to prevent injury. Proper form and intensity are equally important in the weight room. When starting out with a new lift, you mostly work on form. Once you have hte form down, your going to want to find a good balance between intesity and form. It is impossible to have full intensity and the best form, so you need to find a safe inbetween

  11. We spend so much time on form because it reduces the risk of injury and you will not get stronger unless you use correct form. Proper form is the most important aspect when exercising because it allows you body to increase strength and performance. They are both important but proper form outweighs intensity. With time, your form will be perfect and you will not have to think about it which results in concentrating on higher intensity.

  12. We spend a lot of time on form because if you have bad form when there is light weight, when you increase that weight greatly, you are going to be injured. Proper form is important when exercising because you get the most out of your workout, activating every muscle possible. I think proper form is more important than intensity because if you have bad form the exercise is doing nothing for the muscles you are targeting for even if you are doing it 100%, and bad form leads to injuries.

  13. 1: We spend a lot of time on form because with the intensity of lifting very heavy amounts of weight, our body is gotta be on a proper from or you would suffer an injury.

2: Without proper from while exercising you would be just hurting yourself instead of improving your level of fitness.

3:It's always going to be more important to progress on proper form because you won't suffer from any injuries and with proper form you will always be able to perform better during workouts and more intensity.

  15. We spend so much time on form to do the lift right and prevent injury. Proper form is the best way to get stronger and again, prevent injury. Proper form is more important than intensity because with intensity, you may be doing the workout faster and getting more reps, but the lifter probably doesnt have correct form. Correct form builds muscle more efficiently.

Proper form is the most important part of the lift. if you do not have proper form you can end up injuring yourself when you get to heavy weight and then bringing your lift max down. Although intensity is important proper form is much more important because if you get injured while lifting you cannot be intensely lifting until you are back in action.

  17. We spend so much time on form because it prevents injury and works muscles the way they are meant to be worked. This also makes it incredibly important. Form is more important than intensity because it prevents serious injurys which can take place if total emphasis is on intensity.
